All Whites are not the same.
Melbourne’s residents have another addition to Melbourne’s unique skyline with the new Rectangular Stadium now completed. The $267.5 million State Goverment funded Melbourne Rectangular Stadium has a capacity of over 30,000 and is home to the Melbourne Victory Soccer Team and the Melbourne Storm Rugby League Team.
You might assume that the colour is a simple white and yet this is not the case. Over 9 samples were supplied by Akzo-Nobel in order to get the precise powdercoat shade that the architect (Cox Architects) required. The colour shade was named in honour of the project and is called Interpon D2015 Stadium White.
The stadium was constructed by Grocon on Edwin Flack Field in the Olympic Park Precinct. AAF powdercoated the support shell aluminium extrusions surrounding the composite panels. The extrusions are supplied by Capral Aluminium for the fabricator Minesco Industries.
